“One should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity”

As you guys may or may not know, I have a damn good memory. I can usually recall exact dates of certain events if asked, or for no reason whatsoever. Even though I’m not always very self-confident 100% of the time, I do take great pride in my memory (and my teeth, I’m very afraid of losing them, the one thing that I really like about myself). My IQ also ranges between 128-131 (depending on which country I take the test in) and not to sound overconfident or arrogant, I DO consider myself to be intelligent, well, more intelligent than most people I see on a day to day basis anyway (people like my roommate, customers at work, work colleagues, people around town, etc.)

However, recently I forgot something so simple that I want to continuously hit myself on he head with my 4lbs boot that I was wearing at the time. I did not hit myself with my 4lbs boot because I do not wish to make any further damages to my memory, I already for dumb enough.

As most of you know, madladyred and sarahtoalaska talked me into opening a LiveJournal account. I heard them talked about it sometime around the September – November timeframe of 2005. I was interested but never had the time to open the account. Earlier this year, while visiting madladyred at her house, she talked me into opening the account while I was at her house. Without hesitation, I followed up on it, because if I hadn’t, I most likely wouldn’t have followed up on it later due to my schedule. As I went to create my username, I typed in “herzograven”, which you may remember me mentioning in one of my first posts. However, that name was taken, but I went insane with anger that someone took “my” name, created an account and didn’t even use it once. I was furious. I wanted to write that person and ask him/her to either use the account, hand it over to me, or suffer sever consequences. However, once again due to my busy schedule, I didn’t follow up with that and just took the defeat. Until Saturday night when I was driving back from madladyred’s house. Something occurred to me, something that I should have done when I first found out that someone had already taken “my” name. I gave it a little more thought and just sped up the car to get home faster. I arrived at home and without even closing the door behind me I rushed to my computer, loaded the LiveJournal page and typed in “herzograven” under username. Then, with a great deal of suspense, I typed in a password. And sure as shit, it logged me in. all along, it was my dumbass that had that account and didn’t even realize.

Appearantly, in 2004, I wanted to keep an online journal and did a web search for it. Signed up with LiveJournal, and didn’t get to use because it was around the time my mom went psychotic because of me getting married to the “white devil”! I never had the time to even log in there once or even update my info. So the account just sat there and waited for me. I feel so STUPID that I couldn’t remember something like that, and all this time, I was mad at myself. How crazy is that. So, now that I realized that stupid mistake I made, I’m going to HAVE to switch over to “my” screen name.

Just wanted to make sure you guys knew what was going on, and that I told you guys about this as soon as I had the chance. So I’m going to be transferring you guys over to my “herzograven” account. I’m not sure what’s going to happen to my posts, but I guess we’ll see.

We need your help

Hey guys, I was just wondering if you guys could help us with something (my wife and I). I think all of you guys know what's been going on with her hand. First they thought it was a bone infection, and now we're back to where they just don't know. So her doctor sent her to a specialist who specializes in bone infections. That was about a month ago. Considering that my wife's been on disability since birth, and with a doctor's recommendation, we went and saw a specialist . We went and just talked to him, and he didn't know anything either. However, just today they billed us for $444.96 for a 20 minute consultation. Now MedicAid should cover that but the bill was still sent to us. So my wife called the doctor's office and tried to ask them why we were billed considering that she has insurance. The lady at the doctor's office tried to send a request out to MedicAid and they keep denying the fact that she's eligible for insurance. Then, we called MedicAid and they said that the insurance policies have been changed. When my wife asked why we weren't informed of this the person on the phone replied that they have million's of customers and they cant make sure everyone gets notified. SO, we were wondering if you guys know anyone who could help us out and give us advice with this situation. Because every time we call back, we get some idiot on the phone who doesn't know what is going on the first place. If we could find a caseworker who's familiar with these cases and could give us the correct advice and even point us towards the right direction, that would be REALLY helpful. So, if you guys know anyone in that department, or even a way of FINDING someone who can help, we would be forever grateful to you guy (not that we already aren't).

Anyway, once again, if you know anyone who can help, that would be awesome.

An Apple a day, keeps the spyware away!

You know, i can usually figure out the more complicated things that have anything to do with computer. I mean you guys have heard us talk about weird stuff that normal people have no clue about, or like yesterday, this guy i work with, didn't know how to use a certain plug-in for his mp3 program on his computer. so i had it bring his laptop out and showed him within minutes how to use. no problem. i log onto LiveJournal, and I'm LOST! took me 15 minutes to figure out how the hell to make a new entry, vs. replying to an older entry. damn i feel stupid! anyway, at least i figured it out! =)

well, i got my mac mini. I'm sure you guys heard all about it before i decided to get it, while i was saving up for it, and now that i have it. and i did promise some of my friends that i'll keep up with LiveJournal once i have a computer, so; here i am!

i still have to install photoshop, that's when I'm going make all the icons and everything to cosmetically enhance my LiveJournal page.

So far i've been ripping music to my iTunes like an insane person. Now, between michelle and myself, we have aprox. 90GB worth of music, that's roughly 16923 songs (thank you Sarah, she ripped about 40GB of those 90GB). Not bad eh! hehe, thing is, I don't even have time to LISTEN to all that music at once, hehe. BUT I do have have almost all my music ready for work, long distance trips to immigration offices, and once my lazy ass room mate moves out. we're going to turn our garage into a art studio, and i'd like to have music in there, hence, "once my lazy ass room mate moves out."

Speaking of, I really can't wait until our roommate is gone. We all got into this knowing this wasn't a permanent solution, because this house IS very small. We were all adults, we were all aware of the fact that one day we're going to have to move on, and until then we're just going to help each other out with the house. The first few months the house was a DISASTER. Everything was everywhere and with work and school, I just didn't have the time to even go to the bathroom without pen and paper to do the bills. After the second month we agreed to take turns on dishes, he was going to take out the trash (as often as it needed to be taken out) and clean the bathroom (every other week). I was going to take care of bills, groceries, and everything else. To me, that was a fair deal, dishes, trash and bathroom isn't that much to worry about when you don't have to worry about rent, bills, and everything else you need to live in a household. And that's when it began: 3-4 day old coffee stains all over the kitchen counter, toothpaste residue in the bathroom, ass prints in the couch pillows, coffee stains on the WASHER! (what the...), plastic tabs off of milk containers sitting on the counter for weeks!, cheese wrappers sitting on the stove, kitchen sink that had coffee and creamer stains because he was too lazy to turn the water on after dumping the rest of the coffee in the sink. After being really nice about it for two months, I finally blew up about this situation. Sat down and had a household conference in which I expressed my dislikes towards what was going on. He promised us then it's going to improve. However, here we are a year later, stuck on the same issues. My thing was, I didn't want to kick him out because he had nowhere else to go other than back to his parents house. and he wasn't making enough money to afford another place that was more than 150$ a month. so i was just biting the bullet, and let him stay here. i even rented a storage unit for all of OUR stuff just so it wouldn't be in HIS way. So last month he got a better job that paid him a lot more, and that's when we suggested that he could move out now considering he could afford the rent. So, he's moving out at the end of April, and I'm just happy about having some space finally. I mean, initially i didn't have that big of an issue with him living here, even though we were VERY restricted on the space. But I cared enough to offer him a place because he really hated living at his parents house, and I was sympathetic to that. But damn, 0% cooperation from him just drove me nuts. He's moving in back with his parents, but that's really not my problem, I tried to help.
(I hope I didn't sound TOO bitter in the above paragraph!)

Anyway, we're going to insulate the walls in the garage, set up an oil painting area, a computer corner for my film stuff, and a bunch of other art related things. I'll FINALLY have some room to work on my oil painting again. I feel so upset about the fact that I haven't touched oils since Nov. 2004. I have a bunch of things I need to get done for some friends, and would like to submit some in some upcoming art shows for school (once I finally get the greencard).

So yea. That's what's been going on here. Greatest of all newses is that I finally got my new Mac, which totally rocks. I also would like to add that Apple is one of the greatest companies around. I paid for a 1.44Ghz processor, with a 32MB video card, and they sent me a 1.5Ghz processor with a 64!!!MB video card. That's 2x faster video card and 600Mhz faster on the processor. That's just amazing. this is the first time i paid for something and got something much better for the same price. well actually it's the second time, but it was Apple both times. Last year I bought my iPod from them, and I paid for a 20GB black/white iPod, and they sent me a colour iPod, which looked much nicer, but the basic thing is, they sent me something more for something less. i really don't know how i survived this long on Microsoft (ugh!, just the name!). Anyway, I just wanted to share my Apple experience with you guys, I'm sure you already know how great Apple is, =).

Until I write again,

Me

First Entry

Well, it’s been a while since madladyred helped me set up this account. However, a lot has happened since then that disabled me from maintaining the site. Now that I actually have some time to be bored (man do I miss being bored) I can actually POST something here. Yes, yes, my first post. I don’t have any pictures of myself of anything else I want to post, well not currently available; they are on some hard drive, somewhere in the house, or at the storage unit. I promised my friends (well one friend in particular, who’s far away) that I would maintain and keep up with this site. And I plan on doing that as soon as I get my new Mac. Thing is, as much as I love my current iMac, it is an older model, and when I get on the computer I HAVE to do a billon things all at once. It’s hard for me to just sit there and work on one thing at a time - the mind of a mad genius, always thinking, yea right, that’s why I can’t sleep at night, like normal people, hehe. Anyway, once I get my new Mac I’ll be updating this site a lot more, and I’ll most definitely post up pictures and such. So give me a few weeks, my room mate is also moving out (hallelujah) I’ll have a lot more space to work with AND more time (won’t be so busy cleaning up after his bollocks) til then:

Möge die Macht mit euch sein.
